McCarthy Tétrault invites applications for a Client Agreement Auditor. The role supports national stakeholders from offices in Vancouver, Calgary, Montréal, Toronto and beyond, with bilingual English/French collaboration.

The firm emphasizes a hybrid work environment and competitive compensation in the Canadian market. You will audit engagement letters for compliance, manage OCG processes, and provide operational risk insights.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education or equivalent in database management principles.
• Minimum 3–5 years of related experience, ideally in a legal or professional services environment.
• Bilingual (English/French) with excellent verbal and written communication is an asset.

Responsabilités

• Audit engagement letters for compliance with firm policies and regulatory requirements.
• Review engagement letters for completeness and alignment with templates and provisions.
• Track audit findings and prepare reports highlighting trends and risks.
• Provide training to Legal Assistants and Lawyers on engagement letter requirements and processes.
• Coordinate with lawyers, legal assistants, and business professionals to address deficiencies identified during audits.
• Maintain records of engagement letter reviews, audit results, and remediation activities.
• Assist in developing and updating engagement letter templates and best practices.
• Manage Outside Counsel Guidelines (OCGs) process and related documents.
• Monitor retention and management of external legal service providers and key milestones.
• Prepare reports and dashboards on engagement letter compliance and outside counsel activity.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
