Nature And Scope

The Eastern Sales Manager (ESM) will report to the Canadian VP of Sales and collaborate with the Western Sales Manager and Inside Sales Manager to implement and execute sales initiatives that achieve our company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales leadership : Act as a brand ambassador and positive leader within the organization and industry.
  • Drive revenue growth : Own the regional sales target and be responsible for executing initiatives to expand category sales and market share growth with new and current customers.
  • Account management : Skilled at building and nurturing relationships with key distributor accounts. Ability to prioritize and develop strategic partners for long-term growth.
  • Advocate for our French-Canadian customers to ensure we are fulfilling our commitment to a simple and trusted customer experience for all distributors in both official languages.
  • Use critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills to uncover challenges and provide effective solutions that align with our objectives and support our customers, agents, and Stormtech.
  • Conduct ongoing training and performance management to equip Sales Agents with the necessary tools and feedback for proactive sales support and customer solutions.
  • Lead monthly territory reviews, deliver data-driven insights, identify growth opportunities, and offer targeted coaching to enhance agent performance and meet sales targets.
  • Collaborate with the Sales Management team and internal teams to achieve goals outlined in the Action Plan.
  • Develop and effectively communicate a comprehensive knowledge of Stormtech’s products, systems, and services. Demonstrate proficiency in Excel, Teams, and other Microsoft applications.

Specific Accountabilities

  • Execute the Fiscal Action Plan and manage the performance of Eastern Sales Agents.
  • Conduct monthly performance reviews to ensure Sales Agents meet their goals and targets.
  • Collaborate with the Inside Sales Manager to ensure effective interaction between Inside Sales Reps and Agents.
  • Partner with the Director of Strategic Accounts to implement sales initiatives that achieve sales targets.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with assigned Sales Agents and Accounts.
  • Ensure accurate translations of marketing materials, emails, and resources for effective bilingual communication with Accounts and Sales Agents.
  • Prepare and coordinate pre- & post-meeting materials, including virtual presentations, storyboards, and samples, to support Agent product knowledge (PK) sessions and key trade shows.
  • Maintain and update customer profiles, including contact details, client information, and key event dates.
  • Manage Sales Agent budgets for samples, discretionary spending, catalogues, and regional tabletop shows.
  • Collaborate with marketing, finance, and operations to align sales objectives with overall business goals.
  • Provide insights on competitor strategies, new products, campaigns, and industry trends.
  • Participate in customer presentations and events (PKs, Pre-Line, End User Events).
  • Contribute feedback from the field to help build informed sales strategies for the Canadian market.
  • Keep accounts informed about Stormtech’s pricing, key contacts, policies, promotions, and sales tools.
  • Generate awareness and interest in clearance items.
  • Resolve escalated issues promptly while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Language Skills

  • Fluency in French and English (spoken and written) is essential for supporting customers and Sales Agents.
  • Utilize bilingual communication skills to address customer inquiries, create and deliver presentations, and provide sales support in both languages.
  • Foster stronger relationships with Accounts and Sales Agents by offering culturally and linguistically relevant assistance.

Experience Required

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a sales management role leading successful teams.

  • Territory Travel : Account & Territory Visits, Regional / National Trade Shows, CDN / USA Sales Meetings.
  • Regional Trade Shows : Loading & Unloading Crates, Display Setup, Merchandising Product.
