Job summary

Centre dentaire Boucher Levesque Maltais in Dieppe, NB, is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our family‑oriented practice. Prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists and hygienists, take X‑rays, sterilize instruments, update patient charts, and support scheduling while maintaining IPAC standards.

You must be registered or licensed with your provincial regulatory body; prior dental assisting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or Licensed as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.
• IPAC standards and infection control are followed in the role.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow
• Take dental X‑rays and digital images as required
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post‑treatment care
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high‑quality care
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour
