Job summary

Securian Canada in Toronto is seeking a Bilingual Claims Care Representative to join our Claims team on a permanent full-time hybrid basis. You will perform the initial claim review for your line of business, ensuring alignment with KPIs, TATs, and policy provisions.

We value strong English and French communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage tasks under deadlines. The base salary ranges from $45,000 to $55,000 with a comprehensive benefits program and hybrid work

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary Education preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Strong English and French communication due to interaction with English- and French-speaking customers and colleagues.
• Ability to perform tasks within deadlines with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manages case/claims assignments and responds to inquiries from claimants regarding claim status.
• Manages the initial stages of screening claims.
• Applies an excellent understanding of certificate and policy provisions.
• Sets-up claims, verifies policyholder information and eligibility, and ensures forms are delivered.
• Communicates with claimants, partners, sponsors, and physicians, verbally or in writing.
• Ensures compliance with QA requirements and privacy/security practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
