Job description

We are seeking a BI Developer and Data Specialist – curious and meticulous – who will play a key role in validating, interpreting, and directing strategic data from the web and the industry.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Validate the accuracy and consistency of data gathered through web scraping and various external sources.

  • Collaborate closely with the data engineer to specify the data extraction requirements.

  • Verify and cross-reference data from the industry to support teams in strategy, marketing, and product development.

  • Identify trends, anomalies, or gaps through SQL queries (via Snowflake) and formulate recommendations based on insights.

  • Contribute to the development of visual dashboards (an asset if you're skilled in Power BI).

  • Identify connections between various data sources to generate impactful analyses to aid in decision-making.

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • A bachelor's degree in business intelligence, computer science, or a related field.

  • Excellent mastery of SQL and experience with modern data warehouses, preferably Snowflake.

  • A strong analytical mind, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to connect the dots.

  • Skilled at simplifying complex data into clear and actionable findings.

  • Knowledge of data visualization tools, specifically Power BI (an asset).
