Description :

The Benefits Analyst, North America, will be a key member of the client’s Total Rewards team, ensuring the success of the function.

This position supporting the US and Canada will provide overall support for program implementation, communications, and administration.

The Benefits Analyst will assist in ensuring benefit plans and programs are compliant with applicable laws and regulations.

A keen attention to detail, the ability to interpret complex data, and draw conclusions is crucial, as well as having a high level of adaptability and responsiveness.

The individual will have the ability to juggle multiple tasks, handle sensitive information, make sound business decisions, influence business leaders, manage details, and deliver results in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  1. Day-to-day administration of health and welfare plans, life and disability insurance, voluntary benefits, including but not limited to enrollments, life events, death claims, and troubleshooting data issues.
  2. Work with internal and external partners to test and update systems for accuracy of data exchanges.
  3. Respond to employees’ inquiries and act as liaison between employees and vendors.
  4. Work closely with benefits administration vendors, benefits consultants, insurance vendors, and payroll to implement programs and policies. Act as a subject matter expert on employee benefits for internal customers, vendors, and auditors.
  5. Assist in all aspects of the annual open enrollment process. Responsible for benefits billing and reconciliation of benefit accounts.
  6. Assist with and complete special projects as assigned.

Minimum Requirements :

  1. A bachelor’s degree and X years of experience in benefits administration.
  2. Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to multi-task and set priorities within tight timelines and high client expectations.
  3. This individual must have an in-depth understanding of federal and state regulations, filings, and compliance requirements affecting employee benefits programs, including but not limited to ERISA, COBRA, ACA, HIPAA, FMLA, and Employment Standards Act.
  4. Demonstrated sophisticated problem-solving, decision-making, analytical, and modeling skills.
  5. In-depth knowledge of Workday Benefits administration.
