Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; OR at least 3-5 years of experience as a machine operator in a wood shop or manufacturing environment.
• Energetic and enthusiastic attitude, thriving in a collaborative team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Approaches work with a high degree of organization, safety and attention to detail.
• Must be able to organize workload and prioritize activities based on key responsibilities.
• Communicates effectively in English, both in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret shop drawings and job instruction documents.
• Perform measurements with accuracy.
• Identify materials such as MDF, particle board, plastic laminate, and others.
• Examine materials for flaws to optimize material efficiency.
• Understand and perform machine operations: setup, troubleshooting, maintenance, and lockout.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Use proper material handling and lifting techniques for wood furniture.
• Follow standard safety rules and procedures.
