Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Environmental Coordinator to join the Environmental Permitting and Management team in British Columbia. The role involves coordinating environmental scopes of work, managing risks, preparing permits and reports, and ensuring high-quality deliverables across projects in Vancouver, Victoria, or Nanaimo with hybrid work options.

Qualifications

• University degree or college diploma in environmental science or related studies.
• 6–8 years of experience in environmental management, preferably within an environmental consultancy and construction.
• Knowledge of applicable environmental legislation and regulatory permits.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Project management/coordination experience; CAPM or PMP is an asset.
• Professional accreditation or eligibility is an asset (e.g., RBTech, RPBio., EP, P.Ag., P.Eng., RPP).
• Field work experience; EMCPP, CISEC, CESCL, CPESC are assets.

Responsibilities

• Incorporate environmental and social risks into projects.
• Prepare scope, budgets, schedules, change management and deliverables per contract terms.
• Coordinate environmental permit applications and technical reports.
• Ensure quality of work including plans, field programs, data, mapping and reports.
• Support stakeholder relationship management with clients, agencies and Indigenous groups.
• Conduct field work including environmental monitoring and data collection.
