Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Engineer for the Minerals and Metals team in Canada, based in Vancouver. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on environmental site assessments, remediation, and monitoring across mining projects, from study to closure and post‑monitoring.

You will apply BC environmental regulations, develop workplans and budgets, supervise field programs, and prepare technical reports for senior review.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree as required.
• 5+ years of experience in environmental site assessment, risk management and remediation.
• Mining/metallurgical focus is an asset.
• Experience developing environmental workplans, cost estimates, field data collection, supervising subcontractors, and technical reporting.
• Proficiency applying BC environmental regulations and mining codes.

Responsibilities

• Work with Project Managers to deliver client on time and on budget.
• Coordinate field programs across diverse sites with focus on HSE and community.
• Intrusive investigations and groundwater/surface water monitoring.
• Develop workplans, budgets, and schedules for contaminated-site projects.
• Prepare technical reports for senior review and proposals in response to RFQs/RFPs.
