Qualifications

  • Durchführung umfassender Prüfungen von Batterien und Zubehörteilen.
  • Hilfe bei der Lagerung und dem Transport von Waren.

Job description

Position Summary:

To positively engage and interact with customers, educating them on our range of Batteries, Tyres, Oils and Lubricants. Assist to ensure that the loading and offloading of the company’s merchandise are properly coded and recorded.

Key Responsibilities
Battery Technician Responsibilities
  1. To install and test batteries and issue warranties.
  2. Ensure that those with whom you make contact are professionally dealt with.
  3. Assist customers with purchases by providing the best possible information.
  4. Perform comprehensive checks on batteries, trays, clamps, cables, alternator/or regulator output.
  5. Refer findings to immediate supervisor if in doubt.
  6. Refer problem customers to immediate Supervisor or Manager.
  7. Procure/Obtain the appropriate size battery, tyre/s or accessories to suit customer needs.
  8. Ensure proper installation of batteries.
  9. Ensure all Warranty forms are accurately and completely filled out before handing them to customers.
  10. Ensure that all scrap batteries removed from vehicles are placed on pallets in the assigned area.
  11. Assist in transporting goods to the stockroom.
  12. Maintain clean attire and work area at all times.
  13. Make sure all external displays are presentable.
  14. Assist in restocking inventory in the showroom.
  15. Do not collect money on behalf of the company.
  16. Help to ensure a customer-satisfying level of service in respect of warranty processing.
  17. Explain warranty conditions and procedures to customers to avoid misunderstanding and conflict.
  18. Ensure that correct calculations are processed for warranty claims.
  19. Present all tools assigned to you for monthly stock assessment.
Additional Duties

Assist with monthly stock count. Communicate all information vital to the operation of the company. Perform all other duties that may be assigned to you.

Education and Experience:

  • HEART Certificated graduate (JAGAS Trained)
  • CXC passes inclusive of English Language and Mathematics.
  • Technical skills in Battery Installation, Testing, Diagnosing, and Battery Care.
  • Experience and/or training as an electrician or in automotive maintenance.
  • Ability to inspect, assess, and analyze batteries.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
