Job summary

Wings Food Products in Etobicoke, ON is seeking an enthusiastic production operator to join a fast-paced, self-managed team. You will batch dry and liquid ingredients, operate pumps and valves, and document data while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

The role requires adherence to GMP/HACCP, training of incoming operators, and safe use of PPE. The position is full-time and on-site in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Manually batch dry and liquid ingredients
• Operate pumps, valves, and sequences in control systems
• Perform basic laboratory testing and data recording
• Load and unload tanker trucks and complete necessary paperwork
• Conduct general cleaning following a master sanitation schedule
• Troubleshoot systems and procedures as needed
• Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and HACCP rules
• Safely perform all work tasks and wear all required PPE
• Train incoming operators once qualified
• Operate forklift for materials
• Ensure safety procedures are followed by adherence to Company policies
• Ability to approach the job with safety and quality as the two most important aspects
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced, self-managed team environment
• Take pride in maintaining cleanliness of the machine and work area
• Previous experience in batching
• Strong communication skills to discuss operational matters with the team
• Highly motivated, self-directed worker able to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Effective analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
