Job summary

EnviroWay Detergent Manufacturing Inc is seeking a Batch Mixer for our Corman Park facility near Saskatoon.

The role focuses on accurate preparation, mixing, and blending of chemical batches in line with formulations and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry or relevant field.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Chemical Manufacturing Environment including chemical blending.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Able to read and comprehend batch cards instructions and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in production and documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and complete assigned production batches.
  • Ability to safely handle liquid, solid, and powdered chemical materials.
  • Ability to operate, monitor, clean, and perform basic troubleshooting of production equipment.
  • Good understanding of workplace health and safety practices and the proper use of PPE.
  • Able to communicate effectively with other employees.
  • Able to solve practical problems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-centered environment.
  • Must frequently lift and /or move up to 50lbs.
  • Current forklift certification would be an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and blend chemical batches accurately and efficiently in accordance with approved formulation and production procedures.
  • Physically handing the transfer of bulk chemicals, liquid solid and powder from pails, bags or drums.
  • Accurately measure, weigh and load chemical ingredients following formulation cards.
  • Start up, shut down, troubleshoot and clean equipment.
  • Adjust processing machines and equipment.
  • Monitor assigned batches during processing to ensure adherence to specifications and adjust as needed to maintain specifications.
  • Ensure the completion of jobs meeting quality and quantity requirements.
  • Cleaning/rinsing mixer and tanks.
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records and documents, etc.
  • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations including department and housekeeping standards.
  • Strict attention to detail at all times (following procedures, documentation, equipment usage, chemical handling and storage).
  • Ensure all equipment, tools, and workstations are in good working order and free of any safety hazards.
  • Wear all assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment.
  • Work collaboratively with Production, Quality Control, Laboratory, and other departments to ensure production targets and quality standards are achieved.

For almost 40 years, EnviroWay Detergent Manufacturing Inc has been a proud Saskatchewan-based manufacturer of green and eco-friendly cleaning solution is seeking a dedicated, hardworking, and detail-oriented Batch Mixer with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and production standards to join our production team at our Corman Park facility, located approximately 15 minutes from the west side of Saskatoon.

The Batch Mixer will be responsible for the accurate preparation, mixing, and blending of chemical batches in accordance with established formulations, production procedures, and quality requirements. As a Batch Maker, you will be responsible to manufacturing products in accordance with predefined procedures and instructions following health and safety guidelines.
