About The Role

PowerCo is in the process of introducing digital solutions for Building Automation (BAS), energy management, physical security, and health, safety and environment (HSE) for its facilities in Europe and Canada. These systems form a core part of PowerCo’s computer-based control systems to operate the battery production facilities safely and efficiently. The central digitalization team in Germany is responsible for identifying requirements, designing, configuring, and deploying these solutions across all PowerCo sites. In this role, you will work closely with the central team and represent the local needs of the St. Thomas site. You will play a key role in planning, leading deployment activities, and optimizing operations. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with BAS/BEMS and facility monitoring systems, and a deep understanding of their application in enterprise strategies.

This is a hybrid work structure, allowing employees to work both remotely and on-site at our St. Thomas location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the central digitalization team in requirements gathering, design, development, deployment, and optimization of BAS, energy management, and facility monitoring solutions.
  • Collaborate with local and cross-functional teams (facility, maintenance, operations, IT, etc.) to translate requirements into technical specifications.
  • Bridge global solution development with local business needs to ensure seamless rollout and support.
  • Lead planning and coordination during deployment with stakeholders.
  • Contribute to testing, qualification, and validation phases of solutions.
  • Manage relationships with third-party suppliers working on relevant tasks and interfaces.
  • Share insights and learnings from initial acceptance and testing phases within PowerCo.
  • Develop and maintain documentation including system configurations, procedures, and best practices.
  • Implement changes and troubleshoot issues post-deployment as needed.
  • Provide training and technical support to users.
  • Assist with data migration, system integration, and upgrades.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with governance, data privacy, and security standards during rollout and operations.
  • Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to protect digital assets.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and local regulations regarding data integrity and manufacturing.
What You Bring To The Team
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or relevant fields.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • Experience with BAS systems (e.g., Johnson Controls, Siemens, Honeywell, Schneider Electric, Tridium/Niagara) is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical controls, and energy management principles.
  • Understanding of manufacturing environments; large-scale manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and control diagrams.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and delivery tools.
  • Willingness to learn new systems and take ownership.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous learning mindset.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and results-oriented environment.
  • Project management skills.
  • Proactive decision-making abilities.
  • Adaptability to changing requirements and technologies.
