Job summary

The Wickaninnish Inn on Vancouver Island is seeking an experienced Bartender to join our acclaimed restaurant team. You will lead beverage service with a creative cocktail program, deliver Forbes/AAA/Relais & Châteaux standards, and support in-room dining and bar operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient, personalized guest service meeting luxury standards.
• Prepare cocktails, wine, beer, and other beverages; accommodate special requests.
• Serve guests at the bar and assist with in-room dining beverage prep.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area; manage inventory and ordering.
• Collaborate with The Pointe Restaurant team and balance end-of-day transactions.

Job Description

Join our Restaurant Team as a Bartender, where you have the opportunity to learn and grow in a Relais & Châteaux property recognized by Forbes, Michelin Key, AAA Four Diamond, and Travel & Leisure's World's Best Hotels.

As a Bartender you will:

• Ensure efficient and personalized guest service meeting Forbes, AAA 4 & 5 Diamond Standards is delivered at all times.
• Prepare a wide range of cocktails, wine, beer, spirits and other beverages and adhere to guest special requests.
• Be responsible for the service of guests seated at the bar and preparation of beverages for In-Room Dining orders.
• Have knowledge of Silverware Point of Sale system.
• Have thorough knowledge of cocktails and ability to develop new recipes around a creative cocktail program.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the Bar.
• Be responsible for inventory control & ordering.
• Assist with Wine Cellar organization.
• Work in a team environment and assist in The Pointe Restaurant as required.
• Balance end of day financial transactions.

• Professionalism and positive attitude.
• A calm, polite and composed demeanor.
• A valid Serving It Right Certification.
• A desire to contribute exciting and innovative ideas towards the ongoing improvement of The Pointe Restaurant and the Wickaninnish Inn as a whole.
• Self-motivation in learning extensively about wines and spirits.

Salary/Wage:$18.25 per hour
