Job summary

Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Ltd. is seeking a dynamic bartender to join our RS team. You will deliver exceptional service at our venues, mixing cocktails, wine and beer for guests while upholding responsible service and MLSE standards.

The role requires a Bartender Certificate or equivalent, plus 3+ years of fast-paced bar experience. You must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, refuse service when needed, and maintain accuracy in order totals and cash handling.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience bartending in a fast-paced, high-volume facility.
• Smart Serve certification required.
• Evenings, weekends and holidays availability.
• Able to refuse service when necessary.
• Knowledge of spirits, wine and bar equipment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Accurate order totals and math discipline.

Responsibilities

• Deliver winning food and beverage service to guests by living MLSE Vision and Values.
• Provide friendly beverage service and maintain high standards.
• Ensure responsible alcohol service following Smart Serve principles.
• Follow MLSE policies & regulations.
• Act as an ambassador to RS and MLSE and community.
• Monitor inventory and prepare bar for service.
• Perform administrative or service tasks as needed.
• Work in health and safety compliance.

Responsibilites

• As a valuable member of RS team, you will deliver winning food and beverage service to our guests at all times by living our Vision and Values.
• Deliver responsible and friendly beverage service to our guests.
• Strictly ensure responsible alcohol service using Smart Serve principles.
• Ensure AGCO and MLSE policies & regulations are followed.
• Provide friendly and informed responses to inquiries.
• Monitor inventory and prepare bar for service.
• Act as an ambassador to RS, Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment and our community.
• Perform other administrative or service functions as the need arises.
• Follow all MLSE Health & Safety policies and procedures.
• Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.

Qualifications

• Bartender Certificate from a reputable Bartending School with practical on-site training is not required but is an asset.
• 3+ years' experience bartending in a fast-paced, high-volume facility that serves cocktails, wine and beer.
• Smart Serve certification required.
• Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as the need arises.
• Must be comfortable refusing service to guests if necessary.
• A winning attitude.
• Sophisticated knowledge of spirits, wine and bar equipment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to pay close attention to detail & calculate order totals manually.

Job Posting Compensation Range/Rate: $17.70 / hour
