Job summary

Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment is seeking a bartender to deliver exceptional food and beverage service at our venues. You will ensure responsible alcohol service with Smart Serve, while upholding MLSE policies and guest-focused interactions.

The role requires evenings, weekends, and holiday availability, plus 3+ years of high-volume bartending experience and strong knowledge of spirits, wine, and bar equipment.

Qualifications

• Bartender certificate from a reputable Bartending School is not required but is an asset.
• 3+ years’ experience bartending in a fast-paced, high-volume facility that serves cocktails, wine and beer.
• Smart Serve certification required.
• Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as the need arises.
• Must be comfortable refusing service to guests if necessary.
• A winning attitude.
• Sophisticated knowledge of spirits, wine and bar equipment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver winning food and beverage service to guests at all times by living MLSE Vision and Values.
• Deliver responsible and friendly beverage service to guests.
• Strictly ensure responsible alcohol service using Smart Serve principles.
• Provide friendly and informed responses to inquiries.
• Monitor inventory and prepare bar for service.
• Act as an ambassador to RS, MLSE and the community.
• Follow MLSE Health & Safety policies and procedures; comply with Occupational Health & Safety Act.
