Job summary

Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) is seeking a Bartender to provide an excellent customer experience in our military messes, golf and curling operations, and marinas in Ontario. You will prepare and serve beverages, manage bar stock, and assist in event setup and teardown while following provincial liquor laws.

The role is casual/part-time with schedule under 13.33 hours per week, requiring SmartServe certification and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Legal age to serve alcohol in Ontario.
• Provincial SmartServe certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverages.
• Maintain inventory of bar stock and order supplies.
• Assist in set-up and takedown of social and military functions.
• Operate a Point of Sale (POS) system and ensure a clean bar area.
• Ensure compliance with provincial liquor legislation and regulations.

THE ROLE

As a Bartender, you provide an excellent customer experience in our military messes, golf and curling operations and marinas. During big events to everyday moments, you will build a rapport with the military community and get to experience various military traditions.

The Bartender will provide a variety of services such as preparing and serving beverages, maintaining inventory of bar stock and ordering supplies and assisting in the set‑up and take down of social and military functions. You will operate a Point of Sales system, provide a clean bar area and ensure compliance with provincial liquor legislation and regulations.

This is a casual position. The employee will work less than thirteen and one third hours per week.

Education, Certifications and Licenses

• High school diploma OR An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in Ontario
• Must possess a Provincial Responsible Service of Alcohol certification (SmartServe)
