Job summary

Oliver & Bonacini in Toronto, Ontario is seeking a Bartender who takes pride in beverage knowledge and guest service. You will receive orders, prepare drinks, and maintain O&B standards while engaging guests with friendly and informative service.

You will build knowledge across wine, beer, cocktails and non-alcoholic options, work as part of a team, and accommodate guests with special requests. This is a current vacancy with weekend, evening, and holiday shifts.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years bartending experience in a similar environment.
• Experience with cocktail batching is an asset.
• Impeccable wine, beer and classic cocktail knowledge.
• Passion for food, beverage and providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to multi-task and be a strong lounge server.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Able to stand long periods and lift/move beer kegs and wine/liquor boxes.
• Available on weekends, evenings and holidays as needed.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive guest experience through interaction and adherence to the steps of service.
• Knowledgeable of all food and beverage items to make recommendations.
• Promptly receive drink orders and pour beverages according to O&B standards.
• Present beverages in a clear and organized manner at the service bar pick up area.
• Communicate beverage descriptions, specials and information to guests and team members.
• Set up and take apart bar area, dishwasher and cappuccino machine.
• Stock and maintain all bar products including mis en place.
• Check and maintain beer keg and liquor levels.
• Count and take inventory of beverages and supplies; assist management with ordering.
• Be aware of any special requests, including guest allergies.
• Other duties as assigned or required.

Job description

Our Bartenders take pride in their food, wine and spirit knowledge. They build relationships with their guests and are often asked for by name. They display natural showmanship, have great communication skills and an eye for detail. A Bartender receives beverage orders and makes beverages in a timely and efficient manner maintaining all O&B standards. They also communicate beverage descriptions and modifications with team members to ensure guests receive their requested beverage.

The day to day:

• Other duties as assigned or required
