Job summary

Thermea Spa Village Winnipeg is seeking a friendly, part-time Bartender to deliver attentive service in a vibrant wellness setting. You will craft beverages, greet guests, and contribute to a memorable dining experience.

Reporting to the Restaurant Managers, you will manage multiple orders, maintain bar cleanliness, and support our service team during busy hours. A Smart Serve certification and 1 year of bartending experience are preferred, with physical stamina for long shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• Minimum 1 year of bartending experience.
• Smart Serve certification required.
• Knowledge of liquor, beer and wine characteristics and pairings.
• Experience with a POS system is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Takes multiple drink orders from servers at one time.
• Provides fast, efficient, and consistent beverages.
• Prepares and serves beverages, wine and spirits according to standards.
• Keeps bar area clean and well stocked.
• Performs opening and closing task checklists.

Reporting to the Restaurant Managers, the Bartender’s responsibility is to provide excellent customer service, serving customers quickly and efficiently by providing an attentive and unobtrusive service in a unique and memorable dining experience.

What You’ll Do

Management Activities: planning, organization and control

• Takes multiple drink orders from multiple servers at one time;


• Provides fast, efficient, and consistent product;


• Prepares and serves beverages, wine and spirits according to established standards;


• Effectively organizes, cleans and restocks bar area;


• Performs opening and closing task checklists;


• Assist in ensuring the cleanliness of all amenities and spaces;


• Be proactive in developing ways to improve the guest experience;


• Be eager & willing to lend a helping hand to guests and colleagues;


• Perform other related duties.

Profile needed

What is the profile needed in order to be successful in this position

• High school diploma;


• Minimum 1-year experience in bartending;


• Diploma in restaurant, hospitality, hotel or service industry, an asset ;


• Smart serve required;


• Knowledge of liquor, beer and wine characteristics and pairings;


• Experience with a POS system, an asset;


• You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills;


• Very good physical condition: standing on your feet and ability to lift 50lbs (23kg), ability to work long hours standing on your feet and constantly moving .

You will work a varying schedule which requires flexibility to work weekends, evenings, holidays.
