Job summary

Wickaninnish Inn in Tofino, BC is seeking a Bartender to join the restaurant team. Learn and grow in a Relais & Châteaux property recognized for Forbes, Michelin Key, AAA Four Diamond, and Travel & Leisure’s World’s Best Hotels.

You will lead by example, deliver personalized guest service, and contribute to a creative cocktail program while maintaining high standards and a positive, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cocktails and ability to develop new recipes for a creative cocktail program.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced bar and fine dining or high-end restaurant setting.
• A valid Serving It Right Certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver efficient and personalized guest service meeting Forbes, AAA 4 & 5 Diamond Standards at all times.
• Prepare a wide range of cocktails, wine, beer, spirits and other beverages and adhere to guest special requests.
• Be responsible for the service of guests seated at the bar and preparation of beverages for In-Room Dining orders.
• Balance end-of-day financial transactions and assist with inventory control.

As a Bartender You Will

• Ensure efficient and personalized guest service meeting Forbes, AAA 4 & 5 Diamond Standards is delivered at all times.


• Prepare a wide range of cocktails, wine, beer, spirits and other beverages and adhere to guest special requests.


• Be responsible for the service of guests seated at the bar and preparation of beverages for In-Room Dining orders.


• Have knowledge of Silverware Point of Sale system.


• Have thorough knowledge of cocktails and ability to develop new recipes around a creative cocktail program.


• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the Bar.


• Be responsible for inventory control & ordering.


• Assist with Wine Cellar organization.


• Work in a team environment and assist in The Pointe Restaurant as required.


• Balance end of day financial transactions.

Salary/Wage:

$18.25 per hour
