Job summary

GameTime Social is hiring a bartender to deliver authentic, unforgettable guest experiences in a fast-paced venue in Nova Scotia. You will follow established service standards, prepare drinks per recipes, and engage guests with confident recommendations.

Team coordination and a positive, guest-focused approach are essential. Applicants should have at least 2 years of bartending in a high-volume setting and hold Smart Serve certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a bartender in a high to mid-volume restaurant.
• Smart Serve certification is required.
• Familiar with industry best practices and standards.
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow directions.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills and strong organization.

Responsibilities

• Follow GameTime Social systems and standards for service.
• Follow recipes and ensure consistent beverage quality.
• Provide personable and efficient service to guests.
• Guide guests in selecting drinks and upsell where appropriate.
• Coordinate with staff to balance responsibilities during shifts.

We are looking for someone who is obsessed with fun, service, and providing all guests with a truly authentic, genuine, and simply unforgettable experience.

The successful candidate will play a KEY role in contributing to our guest satisfaction.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow GameTime Social systems and standards for service.
• Bartenders need to follow recipes.
• Provide personable and efficient service to ensure guest needs are met at all times.
• Be confident in guiding guests in making the best decisions on what to order.
• Seamlessly work with other current staff to balance all responsibilities on a daily basis.
• Have the initiative to further develop skills and knowledge.
• Previous experience with Silverware POS is an asset.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Ability to work as a team.
• Follow specific directions and instructions.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Organizational skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a bartender in a high to mid-volume restaurant.
• Smart Serve certified.

WORK HOURS AND BENEFITS:

• Full-time and part-time positions are available.
• Must be able to work weekends, days, and nights, all shifts availability.

Job Types:

Salary:

$17.60 per hour + cash tips paid at the end of shift.

Part-time hours:

10-30 per week.
