Job summary

Forecast Coffee on Esplanade Ave in North Vancouver is hiring baristas and all-rounders to join a brand-new location. You will provide excellent customer service, prepare coffee and light food, and maintain a clean, safe shop environment.

Starting wage is 18.70 CAD/hour plus tips paid weekly, with perks including a free staff meal, unlimited coffee bar drinks on shift, and staff discounts at Forecast Coffee locations. Positions require flexibility and a friendly, community-minded attitude.

Qualifications

• Solid barista experience and passion for coffee.
• Previous café or hospitality experience.
• Flexible availability from 8am to 3pm.

Responsibilities

• Handle cash transactions with accuracy.
• Follow the supervisor's daily plan for smooth operations.
• Prepare and serve coffee, food and drinks; clear tables and wash dishes.
• Create a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment for customers.
• Adhere to Food Safe, Work Safe policies and BC liquor laws.
• Maintain store organization and report maintenance issues.

Forecast Coffee is hiring! We are looking for wonderful staff to join our team at our brand new café on Esplanade Ave in North Vancouver. Serving coffee with an extended food menu, we are looking for talented Baristas and skilled all-rounders to join the team.

About the role You perform in your role with passion and take upmost care as a representative of our brand and product and are motivated to consistently deliver the excellent customer service expected. Whilst providing a positive and inclusive environment for customers and staff, our team is accountable for quality service and product in a safe and clean environment.

Responsibilities

• Cash handling
• Following the supervisors daily plan to ensure smooth operations
• Preparing and serving coffee, food and drinks, clearing tables and washing dishes
• Creating a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment for customers.
• Adhering to Food Safe, Work Safe policies, and following BC Liquor laws
• Maintain store organisation so product is stored safely and securely.
• Report maintenance issues to Cafe Manager

The Ideal Candidate

• Has solid barista experience and loves great coffee
• Has previous café or hospitality experience
• Leads with a positive, calm, and approachable presence - not just tells, but shows
• Has some basic kitchen experience (food safe practices, food preparation, ability to follow recipes)
• Has flexible availability - we are open from 8am to 3pm
• Enjoys providing friendly customer service and giving our locals and visitors a great experience
• Is a positive, hard worker who wants to build connections within our community and team

Requirements

• Food Safe Level 1 an asset
