Job summary

Qualifications

  • Previous barista or café experience preferred.
  • Fluently bilingual in French and English.
  • Knowledge of espresso-based beverages is an asset.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Food Handler Certification is an asset.

  • Learn and maintain knowledge of our menu, products, and promotions.
  • Assist in opening and closing duties as required.

Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, customer-focused Barista to join our team! The ideal candidate will be passionate about coffee, hospitality, and creating a welcoming environment for every guest. You’ll be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages and light food items, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and delivering outstanding service to ensure an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, personalized service.

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso drinks, teas, and specialty drinks.

Accurately handle cash, card, and mobile payments using the point-of-sale system.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar, equipment, and seating areas.

Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Monitor inventory and restock items as needed.

Communicate effectively with team members and support a positive, team-oriented atmosphere.

Learn and maintain knowledge of our menu, products, and promotions.

Assist in opening and closing duties as required.

Qualifications
  • Previous barista, café, foodservice, or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Fluently bilingual in spoken French/English
  • Knowledge of espresso-based beverages and coffee preparation techniques is an asset.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs (11 kg).
  • Food Handler Certification is an asset.
