Job Title: Barber

Location: Cedar Valley Lodge, Kitimat

Rotation: 14 days in / 7 days out

Wage: $28.09 per hour

Scope

As part of our services team, you will deliver high-quality customer service. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing grooming services, maintaining hygiene standards, managing supplies, and ensuring a safe work environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Greet clients and discuss their grooming preferences.
• Cut, trim, and style hair using appropriate tools.
• Shave, trim, and shape beards and mustaches.
• Sanitize tools and work area after each use.
• Provide hairstyle advice and stay updated on trends.
• Process payments using Point-Of-Sale systems.
• Order supplies and manage inventory.
• Schedule client appointments and organize shift schedules.
• Train and supervise junior staff if applicable.
• Follow safety protocols and conduct regular audits.
• Adhere to all departmental policies and health guidelines.
• Maintain personal grooming and professional appearance.
• Participate in training and team meetings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of barbering experience.
• Secondary school diploma or equivalent barber certification (e.g., Red Seal).
• Experience in camp settings is an asset.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
• Good attendance record.
• Valid Driver’s License is an asset.
• Embodies service spirit, team spirit, and progress orientation.
