Job summary

Good Folk, located in the Otter Hotel in Banff, is seeking an experienced Bar Manager to lead the beverage program and inspire the team. You will manage daily bar operations, develop a creative drinks program, and uphold outstanding guest experiences in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in a full-service bar/restaurant, 2+ years bartending, and 1+ year in leadership. ProServe certification is required, with capacity to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in the Bow Valley.

Qualifications

• 2+ years bartending experience.
• 1+ year in a leadership or management role.
• Experience with POS systems, inventory management, and scheduling.
• ProServe certification required.

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing bar team.

• Oversee daily bar operations, including inventory, ordering, scheduling, and cost controls.
• Maintain exceptional service standards and guest experiences.
• Support recruitment, training, and performance development.
• Partner with the General Manager to drive operational excellence.
• Ensure compliance with liquor, health, and safety regulations.
