Job Description

Civeo Services Employees LP are seeking Bar/Camp Attendants to join our team. The Bar/Camp Attendant responsibilities will include mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, serving food in the lounge, cleaning the lounge, completing room attendant duties when required. Reporting to the designated Supervisor, the successful candidate will work 20 days on and 10 days off rotation at our Ft McMurray Village site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons;
  • Mix and invent drinks, mix liquor, soft drinks, water and other ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks;
  • Prepare mixed drinks, wine, draft or bottled beer and non-alcoholic beverages for food and beverage servers or serve directly to patrons;
  • Serve alcohol responsibly, which includes refusing further service when appropriate;
  • Set up and keep the bar area clean and orderly;
  • Wash glassware and sweep up broken glass to keep bar area safe for workers and customers;
  • Change pop machine syrup and carbon dioxide tanks;
  • Change beer gas tanks and kegs;
  • Arrange displays of bar stock and glassware;
  • Prepare garnishes;
  • Serve snacks or food items to people seated at the bar;
  • Maintain an inventory of bar stock, such as liquors, wines, beers, soft drinks, cream, fruits and fruit juices and order supplies;
  • Collect payment for beverages and record sales, which includes operation of computerized point-of-sale systems;
  • Ensure compliance with the provincial and municipal liquor legislation and regulations;
  • General cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing within cleaning target times;
  • Making beds and changing sheets as per the schedule;
  • Cleaning washers, dryers and laundry room, including the areas behind machines and removing lint from dryer after every cycle;
  • Sanitizing washrooms including shower stalls, shower mats, sinks, toilets, and floor after each shift change;
  • Review the Daily Room Allocation sheet and performs any special needs or requests that may arise day to day;
  • Report any damage, theft and abandoned articles to the Manager;
  • Adhere to safety policies and procedures by following company safe work practices and standard operating procedures;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • ProServe Certificate is required
  • Minimum 5 years of bartender and food service experience in the hotel and restaurant industry
  • Working knowledge of cocktail recipes, the characteristics of wine, beer and spirits
  • Knowledge of AB Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) policies and regulations
  • Manual dexterity and ability to stand for a long period and work physically lifting up to 50 lb. daily
  • Strong focus on safety, including personal safety, safety of co-workers, and protection of property on the job in accordance and compliance with company practices, industry standards, and government regulations.
  • The successful candidate must be able to stand or walk constantly, lift heavy items such as kegs of beer, which means frequent lifting of at least 50 lb. and frequently push or pull at least 65 lb.
