Job summary

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in Calgary seeks a Banquet Porter to ensure flawless banquet execution for meetings, conferences, weddings, and galas. The role supports Banquets, Culinary, Stewarding, and Conference Services teams, with a mid-August 2026 start and a contracted end date of January 18, 2027.

Responsibilities include setup and teardown of function rooms, beverage and buffet support, and ensuring rooms are clean and ready for guests.

Qualifications

• ProServe certification required.
• Previous customer service, banquet, hospitality, event setup, or hotel experience is an asset.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional service at banquets and catered events.
• Assist Banquet Servers and Captains during events to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Set up, break down, and reset banquet spaces according to BEOs and event requirements.
• Support beverage stations, coffee breaks, buffet displays, and off-site catering as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth event execution.
