POSITION OBJECTIVE

Reporting to the General Manager Banquets & Catering, the Banquet Server will work with the Food Services Team to deliver great service and quality products to ensure our guests have a wonderful experience that exceeds their expectations. The Banquet Server will set up venues for a function or event prior to the guest’s arrival and tear down the venue when the guests have left. The Banquet server may also be required at times to be a Banquet Bartender. When bartending, the incumbent is required to ensure the safe and healthy preparation of food & beverage items and ensure proper sanitation techniques are being met at all times to avoid cross-contamination and the spoiling of food and beverages.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Banquet Operations

• Work with the Food Services Team to deliver great service and quality products to ensure our guests have a wonderful experience that exceeds their expectations.
• Set up venues for a function or event and prior to the guest’s arrival and tear down the venue when the guests have left.
• Assist with other Park Hospitality departments where appropriate.
• Adhere to Compass Group Canada & Park Hospitality policies.

Health & Safety

• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene is maintained in the restaurant areas.
• Strive to uphold a safe working environment and be Health and Safety conscious and actively involved in maintaining and improving a safe work environment.
• Ensure the safe and healthy preparation of food & beverage items and ensure proper sanitation techniques are being met at all times to avoid cross-contamination and the spoiling of food and beverages under the direction of the Executive Chef.
