Job summary

The Atlas Hotel in Regina is seeking energetic Banquet Porters and Banquet Service Staff to join our busy banquet and function spaces. You will assist with setup, linen duties, and delivering personalized service for events.

Ideal candidates have hospitality experience, a willingness to obtain Serve It Right, and the flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. We offer a vibrant, independent hotel environment with perks for Crew.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of hospitality or banquet experience.
• Must be over 19 years old.
• Willing to obtain Serve It Right certificate.
• Physically able to lift and move banquet equipment and supplies.
• Able to work holidays, weekends and evenings with open availability.

Responsibilities

• Set up and take down event spaces according to BEO floor plans.
• Fulfill all linen requirements for each event.
• Execute on event details beyond standard floor plans to ensure every detail is covered.
• Carry out client requests to ensure a personalized event experience.
• Provide service with a smile in a welcoming atmosphere and keep spaces clean.

Job description

Are you ready to be part of Regina’s coolest independent hotel? The Atlas is looking for enthusiastic Banquet Porters and Banquet Service Staff to join our dynamic team in our busy banquet and function spaces!

Your Primary Responsibilities Include:

• Set up and take down event spaces according to Banquet Event Order (BEO) floor plans
• Fulfill all linen requirements for each event
• Execute on event details that go above and beyond the standard floor plans, ensuring every detail is covered
• Execute client requests to ensure a personalized event experience
• Carry out BEO instructions with attention to detail
• Provide service with a smile, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of function rooms and support spaces

Qualifications:

• Has 6 months to 1 year of hospitality or banquet experience (more is a bonus, but not required)
• Is over the age of 19
• Is outgoing, confident, flexible, and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Enjoys working with a diverse range of guests and team members
• Holds a Serve It Right certificate (or is willing to obtain one)
• Is physically able to lift and move banquet equipment and supplies
• Has open availability or flexibility to work on holidays, weekends, and evenings as required
