Job summary

Archive Hospitality Group is seeking Banquet Servers to support our special functions and events at venues like The Postmark Hotel. You will work as part of a team to deliver friendly, professional service, with strong cocktail and beer knowledge for fast-paced, high-volume settings.

Responsibilities include setting up, serving courses and drinks, recommending menu items, handling MICROS transactions, and ensuring guest satisfaction while maintaining safety and hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years minimum experience in banquet/restaurant/bar/hotel.
• Must be legal age to serve alcohol.
• Proven ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
• Great conversational skills and teamwork-oriented.
• Positive outlook and outgoing personality.
• Able to stand/walk for long hours.
• Must be Smart Serve certified.

Responsibilities

• Assist with opening/closing duties, setups and breakdowns to maintain ambiance and presentation.
• Welcome guests and attend to tables promptly.
• Serve food and beverages, with menu recommendations and beverage pairings as needed.
• Record transactions accurately in the MICROS system.
• Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction after each course and at the end of service.
• Stock stations and replenish tableware, garnishes and supplies.
• Provide bar service including cash/credit handling and liquor storage.
• Ensure compliance with Archive standards and food safety/hygiene policies.
• Assist with inventory of products before and after events.

The Role at a Glance:

Our Banquet Servers work at our special functions and events and play a key role in taking care of our guests in a friendly and professional manner, and work as a team member to ensure all tasks are completed. Our banquet servers have strong cocktail & beer knowledge and experience working in a fast paced/high volume dynamic environment.

Your Day To Day Duties:

• Participate in opening/closings, setups and breakdowns and ensure overall room ambiance, cleanliness, appropriate setting and presentation
• Welcome guests and promptly attend to tables
• Serve food and beverages to guests & make recommendations if needed
• Share menu knowledge to assist guests with questions and special requests
• Assist guests and suggest food with appropriate beverage pairing
• Record transactions in the MICROS system correctly and timely
• Check-in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each course and beverage
• Clean tables, complete closing duties and re-stock tableware and other supplies
• Provide bar service to guests, including cash and credit card services
• Conduct inventory of product pre and post function and replenish as needed
• Remove soiled dishes, linen, silverware and restore/replenish settings
• Respond to and try to fulfill any special banquet events arrangements
• Comply with all Archive standards, policies and procedures at all times
• Prepare the event space with the appropriate food and beverages as stated in the banquet event order (BEO)
• Respond to and try to fulfill any special banquet event arrangements
• Stock food stations, drink stations, wine and bar as per banquet event order (BEO)
• Ensure returned liquor is stored away appropriately
• Stocking all garnishes as required for service
• Apply the necessary precautions with regards to food safety and hygiene standards.
  Undertake other ad hoc related responsibilities, as required
• Comply with all Archive standards, policies and procedures at all times
• Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management

You have:
