The Vancouver Aquarium is seeking a Banquet Cook to assist with supervising food production for banquets and ensure adherence to food safety standards and culinary quality. Reporting to the Chef de Partie, you will help manage tasks, portions, and presentation per recipes and production sheets.

Requirements include Food Safe certification, Hepatitis A proof, 2 years of kitchen experience with at least 6 months in a supervisory role, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a

• Food Safe certification required.
• Proof of Hepatitis A vaccination or immunity required.
• 2 years of valid kitchen experience required, including 6 months of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of produce, meat, fish and other foods required.
• Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in supervising all aspects of food preparation, portioning, and presentation as per recipes and production sheets.
• Maintain communication between Front and Back of house operations.
• Supervise kitchen operations in absence of senior chefs.
• Operate kitchen equipment per operating instructions.
• Maintain a safe, sanitary, and organized work area and kitchen.
• Support EMS and environmental initiatives where possible.
