  • Support NFPs across the full organizational spectrum:
    • Emerging & small NFPs (<$150K): hands-on financial planning, governance starter support, and capacity building
    • Medium NFPs ($150K-$1.5M): full banking suite, line of credit, fundraising advisory, and network introductions
    • Large & institutional NFPs (>$1.5M): property lending, endowment management, capital planning, and strategic advisory
  • Help champion financial literacy programming and workshops for NFP boards and leadership teams
Manage Relationships and Drive Results
  • Maintain and grow a portfolio of NFP and emerging brand member relationships, serving as a trusted single point of contact across all banking needs
  • Cross-sell and integrate FirstOntario's full product suite - including deposit products, lending, cash management, wealth management, and retail banking - ensuring members are comprehensively served
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of NFP and Emerging Brands and Marketing & Communications team to develop campaigns, storytelling initiatives, and events that elevate the NFP division's profile
  • Support Business Banking Group colleagues with deposit services, NFP-specific sales activity, and shared client opportunities
  • Maintain meticulous records of pipeline activity, member interactions, and financial performance against defined KPIs - including FUM growth, member acquisition, cross-sell ratios, and NPS
  • Respond to and facilitate NFP board resolution and RFP processes, including preparation of "Credit Union Briefing Packs" to support bylaw amendments and governance approvals
  • Identify product and service gaps and bring forward ideas to continuously improve the NFP and Emerging brand member experience
  • Adhere to all regulatory, risk, and compliance standards, and contribute to the governance excellence that FirstOntario is known for
  • Perform other duties as required

  • A demonstrated track record in new business development: cold calling, networking, prospecting, and closing
  • Genuine understanding of how NFP organizations operate: funding models, governance structures, restricted vs. unrestricted funds, board dynamics, and the unique pressures facing mission-driven organizations
  • Working knowledge of core banking products: deposit accounts, cash management solutions, investment accounts, GICs, and wealth management offerings
