Job summary

Farm Boy Inc. in Barrie, Ontario is seeking a Store Supervisor to lead a welcoming shopping environment and support lunch and shift coverage.

You will balance hands-on supervision with exceptional customer service, coaching, and maintaining department standards to ensure our customers enjoy a confident and caring shopping experience. The role emphasizes hands-on training, floor operations supervision, and collaboration with store leadership to meet daily goals.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for delivering engaging and exceptional customer service.
• Partial completion of a post-secondary program plus a minimum of 1 year of progressively responsible experience in a similar role (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
• The ability to work independently while taking pride in high-quality results, attention to detail, and cleanliness standards.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with a strong interest in team engagement, coaching, and training.
• A collaborative leadership style supported by clear and effective communication skills.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on setting that involves multiple deadlines, extended periods of standing, heavy lifting, and work that may be performed in cooler, freezer, and outdoor conditions.
• Flexibility to work a dynamic schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Fluency in English; French language skills considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, confident, and engaging customer service reflecting Farm Boy’s standards.
• Welcome, greet, and assist customers with knowledge and enthusiasm for products.
• Provide floor supervision and team support by delegating tasks and coordinating breaks.
• Receive, store orders, complete 2x2s, and ensure daily readiness for business.
• Package, stock, and rotate display counters and shelves to maintain quality and presentation.
• Coach and train team on floor operations and department standards for service excellence.
• Communicate department updates and business objectives from store leadership.

• Package, stock, and rotate display counters and shelves to maintain high product quality, freshness, and presentation standards.
• Foster a culture of trust and inclusion by providing hands‑on training and coaching focused on floor operations, department standards, and service excellence.
• Promote company policies and clearly communicate department updates and business objectives as shared by the store leadership team.
• Support the team with additional duties on a periodic basis.
