Job summary

Farm Boy Inc. is seeking a capable supervisor to work alongside the Department Manager in delivering exceptional customer service and operational excellence across the department. You will coach the team, manage scheduling, and help maintain high presentation and stock standards.

Qualifications

• Completion of a post-secondary program with an emphasis in business and at least 1 year of supervisory or management experience or equivalent
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing competing priorities
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills with professional communication
• Comfort learning and using manual and automated systems and various software programs

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, confident, and engaging customer service reflecting Farm Boy’s commitment to the best shopping experience
• Collaborate with the Department Manager to execute strategies and achieve goals and performance objectives
• Lead team development through coaching, motivation, and recognition while maintaining trust and professionalism
• Run regular team huddles to share goals, recognize achievements, and provide feedback
• Support daily operations with customer service, merchandising, staffing coverage, and store cleanliness
• Provide office/admin support including inventory management, ordering, invoicing, scheduling, and payroll tasks
• Ensure compliance with Safe Food Handling and Health & Safety policies and provincial regulations
• Assist with other related duties as required

• Support team development through training, coaching, motivation, and recognition while maintaining a high level of trust, confidentiality, and professionalism.
• Lead regular team huddles to share goals, recognize achievements, exchange product knowledge, and provide meaningful feedback to build engagement and connection.
• Support daily operations by ensuring outstanding customer service, accurate merchandising and rotation, adequate staffing coverage, and consistent department cleanliness.
• Provide office and administrative support, including inventory management, ordering, invoicing, schedule maintenance, and payroll functions.
• Promote compliance with all Safe Food Handling and Health & Safety policies, procedures, and provincial regulations to maintain a safe and high‑quality shopping environment.
• Contribute to store success by assisting with other related duties as required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a post‑secondary program with an emphasis in business, plus a minimum of 1 year of progressively responsible supervisory or management experience in a similar role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment by effectively managing competing priorities while maintaining a high level of performance.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills supported by a clear, professional communication style.
• Comfort learning and using manual and automated systems, with prior experience working with a variety of computer software programs.
• Thrive in a hands‑on setting that involves extended periods of standing, heavy lifting, and work that may be performed in cooler, freezer, and outdoor conditions.
• Flexibility to work a dynamic schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Fluency in English; French language skills considered an asset.
