Job summary

Walmart Canada is seeking a dedicated Bakery Associate to deliver exemplary customer service in the Bakery Department. You will maintain area standards, stock shelves, sign and price items, and adhere to food safety and cold chain procedures to ensure high-quality bakery merchandise.

This role involves following proper ordering and labeling processes and preparing baked goods per guidelines to preserve quality and visual appeal. You will also keep displays secure and ready for customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16 or older.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
• Ensures the department is fully stocked with merchandise and ready for business.
• Ensures merchandise is properly signed and priced.
• Adheres to cold chain standards, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by and expiration dates.
• Follows food safety and sanitation procedures and cleaning routines.
• Follows procedures for ordering, clearance, markdowns, signing, pricing and labeling.
• Prepares bakery merchandise by thawing and baking according to guidelines to maintain quality and appearance.
• Ensures all displays are secured safely.
