Job summary

Walmart Canada is seeking a Bakery Associate to deliver excellent customer service while maintaining the Bakery Department. You will ensure product quality, accurate pricing, proper labeling, and adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.

The role involves keeping the bakery area stocked and visually appealing, following thawing/baking guidelines, and supporting ordering, markdowns, and displays. This position starts at a competitive hourly wage and offers opportunities in a busy retail

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise (bread, cakes, pies, cookies, rolls).
• Keep the department fully stocked and ready for business.
• Ensure merchandise is signed and priced correctly.
• Adhere to cold chain, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling and date labels.
• Follow sanitation and cleaning procedures.
• Assist with ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
• Prepare bakery merchandise by thawing and baking per guidelines.
• Keep displays secured safely.
