Job summary

JM-7 Bakery Food Distribution in Surrey, BC is seeking a Bakery Plant Supervisor to lead the fast-moving production team at our Surrey facility.

This permanent, full-time role involves on-site work with 30 hours per week and compensation of $28.00 per hour. Start date is as soon as possible; benefits include health and financial benefits, with flexible hours where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Minimize hazards at all stages of the food production process.
• Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies.
• Prepare production and other reports.
• Suggest measures to improve productivity and product quality.
• Supervise, coordinate and schedule activities of workers.
• Coordinate work activities with other units and meet work schedules.
• Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies.

Job requirements
Overview
Languages: English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
Work setting: Fast moving consumer goods (FMCG), Large volume bakery

Responsibilities
Tasks: Minimize hazards at all stages of the food production process, Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies, Prepare production and other reports, Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality, Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers, Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units, Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies
Supervision: 5-10 people
