Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of Part-Time Bakery Clerk (24-39 hours/week) at our Food Store location in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Reporting to the Store Team Leader, this role focuses on delivering legendary service and maintaining bakery product displays.

Candidates should be reliable, organized, with experience in retail bakery considered an asset, and must be flexible to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

• Well-organized and capable of attaining production with minimal supervision.
• Familiar with Food Safe procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide legendary service at all touch points to members and guests.
• Prepare, package, and label bakery products to store standards.
• Maintain display of bakery items and ensure FIFO and freshness.
• Keep the department clean and well-organized.
• Follow safety policies and asset protection procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Reporting to the Store Team Leader, responsibilities for this position include the following:

• Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members’ lives, with a strong customer-focused approach.
• Provide legendary service at all touch points through various communication channels.
• Prepare, package, and label products to Lake Country Co-op standards while maintaining production records.
• Maintain and display all types of bakery products according to department standards.
• Monitor code dates to always ensure the freshest inventory is on the shelf; follow First in, first out (FIFO).
• Ensure to keep a clean and well-maintained department.
• Support and follow Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Experience in a retail bakery setting is considered an asset.

• Well-organized and capable of attaining a high level of production with a minimum amount of supervision.
• Able to fulfill physical job requirements, such as heavy lifting, repetitive movements, and standing entire shift.
• Familiar with Food Safe procedures and practices.
• Possess a flexible work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
