Walmart Canada is seeking a Bakery Associate to deliver exemplary customer service and maintain the Bakery Department. You will assist with stocking, signage, pricing, and safe food-handling practices. The role involves baking assistance and ensuring clean, organized displays in a fast-paced retail environment.

Minimum pay starts at 16.95 CAD per hour. The position is based at 3420 47th Ave, Sylvan Lake, AB, in Walmart’s local store. Training will cover food safety and merchandising standards.

Responsabilités

• Ensure quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise (bread, cakes, pies, cookies, rolls).
• Maintain full stock and readiness of department merchandise.
• Ensure items are signed and priced correctly and clearly.
• Follow cold chain, thermometer calibration, temperature logging, and food handling standards.
• Follow sanitation and cleaning procedures and proper safety protocols.
• Perform ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, and labeling procedures.
• Prepare bakery items by thawing/baking per guidelines to maintain quality.
• Keep displays secured and safe at all times.

What you'll do...

1. Ensures the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise; such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
2. Ensures that department is fully stocked with merchandise and is ready for business.
3. Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced.
4. Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates.
5. Adheres to food safety and handling procedures and following sanitation and cleaning procedures.
6. Follows proper procedures for; Ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
7. Prepares bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls.
8. Ensures all displays are secured in a safe and proper manner.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $16.95.
