Job summary

Give and Go Prepared Foods Corp. in Vaughan, Ontario, is hiring a Baker Mixer to join our fast-paced, high-speed manufacturing team.

Under the supervision of the Line Leader, you will mix raw materials according to batch recipes, operate equipment safely, and ensure products meet quality standards. Shift is Afternoon (3PM - 11PM) with opportunities to grow within our North American bakery operation.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of manufacturing experience; food manufacturing experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and review documentation for batches.
• Stage and prepare ingredients for blends and mixes according to batch sheets and formulas.
• Ensure proper and safe operation of equipment including cleaning and inspection.
• Adhere to Food Safety, GMPs, and Health and Safety policies.
• Monitor product quality and safety against specifications.
• Follow recipes to produce batches and feed production lines.
• Enter mix records promptly into the computer.
• Participate in changeovers and cleaning/sanitation of equipment.

Job Overview

Under the general supervision of the Line Leader or Production Supervisor, the Baker Mixer's primary responsibility is to mix raw materials in order to create finished products according to the batch recipes. They will ensure that equipment is operated within process specifications and that good quality products are produced at all times.

Shift: Afternoon (3PM - 11PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Obtains and reviews all documentation for making batches
• Stages and prepares ingredients for blends and mixes as needed for production according to batch sheets and formulas
• Ensure proper and safe operation of the equipment including cleaning and inspection
• Responsible for practicing and adhering to Food Safety, GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Health and Safety
• Regularly monitor that the product confirms to quality and safety specifications
• Strictly follows recipes to make product batches and feed production lines
• Accurately enters mix records onto computer in a timely manner
• Participate in changeovers and clean-up or sanitation of equipment

Qualifications

• Completion of high school education or equivalent
• 1-3 years of manufacturing experience; food manufacturing experience is an asset
