COBS Bread Welland is seeking a Full-time Baker to join our growing team. You will work with other Bakers, the Baking Team manager and the Production Manager to ensure bread quality meets COBS Bread standards and is delivered on time.

Compensation starts at $22/hour and will increase based on experience. Must be able to work weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) and stat holidays, and be available for 30–40 hours per week. The role may also involve work in St. Catharines.

Qualificações

• Candidates with previous baking experience will receive first consideration and training is provided.
• Oven management experience is valued but not required.
• College Diploma in Bakery and Pastry Arts is preferred or working towards completion.

We are continuing to grow and are searching for a Full-time Baker who is looking for the next challenge in their careers to grow with us. The COBS Bread brand has been built on our commitment to the quality of our product, the development of our people and the delight which the combination of these two elements brings to our customers.

Compensation starts at $22/hour and will increase based on experience and ability. Must be able to work weekends including Saturdays and Sundays and Statutory Holidays. Must be able to work 30-40 hours/week.

The position will be based in Welland but there may be an opportunity in St.Catharines as well.

As a Baker at COBS Bread, you will:

• Work with other Bakers, the Baking Team manager and the Production Manager to ensure the bread quality and range is to COBS Bread standards and delivered on time to meet customer demands.
• Maintain the safety of staff and customers by upholding the COBS Bread brand and standards.
• Be assigned an initial designated area of responsibility (Bowl, Bench, or Ovens) and will cross-functionally train and learn all three areas.
• Assist with stock rotation.
• Provide support to the whole bakery team, demonstrate team work and foster good working relationships.

Requirements

• Candidates with previous experience in baking will receive first consideration and is preferred although it is not essential as we offer full training
• Oven management experience is valued but not required.
• Preference given to those with College Diploma in Bakery and Pastry Arts - or working towards completion of program
• Candidates must have their own transportation
• Candidates should be willing to work overnight or early morning shifts, as a COBS Bread baker starts work between midnight and 4am and works weekends and stat holidays. You must be able to work at least one weekend day every week as well as stat holidays as we are open 363 days of the year.
• Candidates must be able to lift 25kg waist high and up to 12kg head high.
• Valid Food Safety Course and/or First Aid Training Certificate is valued but not required
• Candidates will be asked to perform a DOT (Demonstration of Talent)
