Shelly’s Indigenous Bistro in Winnipeg, Manitoba is seeking a Junior Baker to support daily bakery production by preparing ingredients and assisting with bannock, fry bread, breads, pastries, and desserts.
You will maintain clean prep and baking stations, follow standardized recipes, manage storage and labeling, and help with inventory and packaging while upholding Manitoba food safety rules.

The Junior Baker supports daily bakery production by preparing ingredients, assisting with bannock, fry bread, breads, pastries, and desserts, and maintaining cleanliness and organization.
This role contributes to consistent product quality and efficient bakery operations while developing baking skills within Shelly’s Indigenous Bistro.
This position may be full-time or part-time based on operational needs. Work schedules may include early mornings, weekends, statutory holidays, and peak seasonal periods.
Compensation is based on experience and the internal pay structure and will be confirmed in the Letter of Offer.
A three (3) month probationary period applies. Performance, reliability, product quality standards, sanitation practices, and teamwork will be reviewed during this period.
Employment is conditional upon:
The role requires extended standing for prolonged periods, frequent lifting of 30–60 lbs, repetitive motion tasks, and working in warm commercial kitchen environments.
