Job summary

Aramark is hiring a full-time Baker for the Romeo Leblanc International Airport, primarily based at Tim Hortons with occasional support to the Altitude Bistro/Pub. You will bake a variety of items, follow recipes, operate ovens and mixers, and ensure food safety while delivering friendly service.

It’s time to bake new dreams! As an integral member of our amazing Food Services Team at the Romeo Leblanc International Airport, you’ll feel right at home at Aramark.

Aramark operates the post-security Tim Hortons and the Altitude Bistro/Pub at the Romeo Leblanc International Airport. The Baker will be primarily based at Tim Hortons, and occaissonally support the Bistro/Pub.

Job Responsibilities

• Bakes and prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
• Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, etc.
• Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, mixers, etc.
• Safely uses a variety of utensils including knives
• Properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
• Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
• Assist team members with preparing sandwiches and drinks as needed
• Assist team members in serving guests on the line as needed
• May assist team members by processing guest transitions, using the POS machines
• Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

• 1+ years' experience as retail and/or franchise baker
• Previous experience working at Tim Hortons, or similar franchise an asset
• Fluency in French and English an asset
• Proven knowledge of baking methods, standards, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage
• Valid WHMIS and Food Safe (Basic or Advanced), First Aid Certification is an asset
• Knowledge of and commitment to upholding high standards of food safety and hygiene
• Additional certification may be required by work location
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently supervised and unsupervised
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine desire to provide outstanding customer service
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth operations

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00.
