Job summary

Aramark is hiring a Pastry Chef for the Manic-5 site. Location is Manic-5 with a 14 days on/14 days off schedule and a pay rate of $26.26 per hour, plus overtime at time-and-a-half and a transportation allowance.

Benefits include meals, private room and bathroom accommodations, washer/dryer facilities, and robust group insurance. Candidates must reside in Baie-Comeau area or be able to travel to Baie-Comeau airport.

Qualifications

• A DEP in Pastry Arts or Culinary Arts is preferred.
• Proficiency in preparing and baking traditional and modern pastries.
• MAPAQ certification is an asset.
• Ability to support operational requirements and hygiene programs.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to Hydro-Québec employees at Manic-5 and support kitchen operations.
• Cook and bake according to production guidelines and recipes.
• Set up workstations with ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, mixing and chopping as needed.
• Bake pre-prepared products and decorate pastries.
• Assist with overall kitchen operations as required.

ARAMARK is Hiring a Pastry Chef for the Manic-5 Site

Position: Pastry Chef

Location: Manic-5

Salary: $26.26/hour, with annual increases based on union negotiations.

• Overtime is paid at time-and-a-half.

Schedule: 14 days on / 14 days off rotation

Candidates must reside in the Baie-Comeau area or be able to travel to the Baie-Comeau airport.

Job Responsibilities

Serve meals to Hydro-Québec employees at Manic-5 and participate in and support kitchen operations.

• Cook and prepare food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes.
• Set up workstations with all required ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare recipes and special orders.
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, etc.
• Bake pre-prepared products.
• Apply icing and decorate pastries.
• Assist with overall kitchen operations as required.

Qualifications

• A Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, or both is preferred.
• Must be proficient in preparing and baking both traditional and modern pastries.
• Strong culinary skills are considered an asset.
• MAPAQ certification.
• Ability to support operational requirements.
• Participate in kitchen cleaning and other duties related to the position.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety programs.
