Job summary

GDI Services (Canada) LP in Halifax is seeking a diligent janitor to maintain clean floors, washrooms, offices and common areas during the 10pm–6am shift. The role includes garbage removal and routine spot cleaning of walls, doors and fixtures.

Responsibilities also cover replenishing soap and tissue, dusting office equipment, and performing occasional duties as required. A Criminal Background Check is required; accommodations are available if needed during the recruitment process.

• Clean floors (mopping, sweeping)
• Daily cleaning of washrooms, offices, lockers rooms and lunchrooms
• Empties and cleans garbage cans
• Spot cleans walls, partitions, light switches, and doors
• Restocks single unit dispensers containing soap, towels, toilet tissue and sanitary napkins
• Dusts and damp wipes office equipment
• Additional duties may be required from time to time.

A janitor is generally responsible for the cleaning of all hard floor surfaces and carpets, washrooms, common areas, offices, and the collection and removal of garbage from drop points to a garbage bin. Other responsibilities could be included.

Schedule

Monday to Friday - 10pm-6am
