Job summary

Abbeal SAS in Montreal is seeking a senior Backend Java Developer for a 12-month mission. You will design and evolve critical backend services in AWS, using Java 17+, Spring Boot and microservices, to support a major banking client.

The role is hybrid with 2 days on-site in Montreal; bilingual French/English is required, written and spoken. You will work with Terraform, Docker, CI/CD and observability tooling in a production environment.

12-month mission: Java/Spring Boot backend on AWS for a major banking client in Montreal. Bilingualism required.

We are hiring, for a major banking client based in Montreal, a senior backend Java developer for a 12-month mission.

The mandate: design and evolve critical backend services in an AWS cloud environment, within a team already delivering to production.

Java 17+, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices architecture, AWS and EKS, Terraform, Docker, CI/CD (GitHub Actions), observability with Splunk and Datadog.

Terms

• Hybrid, 2 days per week on-site in Montreal
