Job summary

Montreal, QC-based Java backend role with hybrid work arrangements. Onboarding onsite day 1 and in-office presence required 3x/week. Competitive hourly compensation up to $77.93, and you will join a global team of 30+ developers delivering high-quality software.

Responsibilities include close collaboration with business users and a product owner team in an agile environment, clarifying requirements, and ensuring timely, clean code delivery across geographies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in Java backend development.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of software design principles: MVC, data structures, algorithms, design patterns, multithreading, caching, recursion.
• Proficient in core Java: class loading, garbage collection, Java collections API, Reflections API, Java 8 Streams and Functional Programming.
• Experience with Non-Relational Databases and No-SQL (Mongo DB).
• Knowledge of BDD (behavior-driven development) with JBehave/Cucumber.
• Experience with DMN and BPMN tooling.
• Proficiency in RESTful Web services.
• Strong communication skills to work with global team members across different time zones.
