Job summary

Randstad Enterprise is seeking a Senior Developer to lead the design, development, and implementation of our next-generation onboarding and regulatory platform. You will drive full-lifecycle development across global end users, leveraging Java, Angular, distributed databases, and cloud-aligned architectures to deliver scalable and UX-focused solutions.

The role requires strong Java/JEEE expertise, SOA, REST, and experience with Spring, JUnit, and related tooling.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of hands-on Java EE and core Java experience.
• Experience with web services, REST, and Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
• Expertise in Object-Oriented Design, design patterns, architecture and integration.
• Working knowledge of databases including design and SQL proficiency.
• Strong experience with frameworks used for development and automated testing like Spring, JUnit, and BDD.
• Experience with Unix/Linux.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple groups, including offshore teams, internal infrastructure, vendors and QA.
• Strong problem solving in system integration, infrastructure debugging, or system administration.
• Background in working in large teams and willingness to learn new technologies.

Job description

The Counterparty Data and Regulatory Technology department is executing a multi-year renovation of its core client onboarding and compliance platform. As a Senior Developer, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of next-generation, cloud-aligned systems. You’ll leverage Java, Angular, distributed databases, enterprise integration patterns, and modern caching techniques to build scalable architectures with best-in-class UX.

Owning full-lifecycle development across global end-user bases, you will collaborate on requirement analysis, enforce group standards, and promote agile practices. This role demands strong expertise in distributed web technologies to deliver an intuitive, highly efficient onboarding and regulatory platform.

Location: Montreal (day 1 onboarding onsite / in-office presence required 3x/week)

Skills Required (Must-Have):

The candidate must possess a strong technology background with advanced knowledge of Java and Java based technology stack.

• At least 5 years of hand-on Java EE and core Java experience with strong leadership qualities
• Experience with web service development, REST and Services Oriented Architecture
• Expertise in Object Oriented Design, Design patterns, Architecture and Application Integration
• Working knowledge of Databases including Design, SQL proficiency
• Strong experience with frameworks used for development and automated testing like spring, Junit, BDD etc.
• Experience with Unix/Linux
