Job summary

Lime is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to design and build the core backend powering its micromobility fleet. You’ll work on scalable platforms for IoT devices and consumer apps, collaborating with product, design, data science, and operations teams.

The ideal candidate has 1+ years in software development, is data-driven, customer-focused, and comfortable with on-call rotations in a fast-paced startup environment. This is a remote role based in Canada.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with Ruby and Go.
• Strong data-driven decision making and customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Solve scalable technical problems for core platforms powering Lime's fleet.
• Build, scale, and maintain backend services for IoT devices and apps.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with PMs, Engineers, Design, Data Scientists, and Operations.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to incidents and alerts.
• Document issues and contribute to reliability improvements.
