A leading company in the spirits industry seeks an Account Manager to drive strategic goals with key customers in Calgary. This role involves building relationships, executing promotional programs, and ensuring performance metrics are met. You will join a team of dynamic account managers across the country while being responsible for achieving the organization’s strategic and commercial goals with a selection of our key on-premise accounts and customers. You will have the tools and support to build strong relationships with key customers, develop customer strategies and business plans, create and sell-in compelling promotional programming, and ensure high quality organization and execution within a designated market. You will play a critical role in elevating the portfolio of Bacardi brands in your designated market and accounts
Keeping the Consumer at the Heart you will:
· Lead meetings with key accounts to present Bacardi products and services by understanding the customer’s business processes, plans, needs and critical success factors by demonstrating understanding of competitive landscape through trends and data.
· Ensure objectives and KPI’s are being met on a quarterly basis
· Execute brand education and engagement programming that connects to trade, consumers and internal teams
· Collaborate cross-functionally utilizing Bacardi resources to achieve maximize performance and sales efforts by achieving increased volumes while building long lasting business opportunities in your account universe.
· Responsible for developing and executing promotional activations, programs, new distribution, menu placements, drink features and educating customer staff on the Bacardi portfolio to achieve sales objectives.
· Execute at key local events and participate where the opportunity fits our strategy, including the execution of national initiatives in the local market, which often occur in the evening or on weekends.
· Support the Retail channel with brand educations, host product seminars with key Liquor Jurisdictions and high profile accounts.
· Track all activities and consistently submit activity reports in a proprietary reporting tool to include KPI progress, account visits, trainings, wins, competitive activities, and special projects.
· Efficiently manage T&E budget as well as monthly activation budget.
· Participate in overall market commercial planning which may include weekly and monthly team meetings.
· Deliver year-over-year growth within account list while meeting monthly KPI’s within your account universe.
· Understand customer’s strategic business challenges and business priorities
· Act as a role model for Compliance and Ethics, embedding Bacardi’s core values of fearless, family, and demonstrating a founder’s mentality.
The Experience Needed to Create Your Legacy:
· You will have a strong understanding of bartending and cocktailing
· 4-5 years’ experience in a similar role. You are passionate and influential relationship manager eager that positions the consumer at the heart of all activities first in order to achieve results.
· You are an influential communicator with strong interpersonal skills. You will have opportunities to display excellent written and verbal communication skills while also being relaxed giving presentations in front of small groups of people including executives, Bacardi primos, vendors and customers (both internal and external) at all levels of an organization .
· By living a Founder’s mentality, you are well organized, an independent thinker, like to multitask and are confident in your ability to conduct yourself in an ethical and professional manner consistent with our company values.
· You possess the ability to analyze available information for the purposes of preparing reports, coordinating efforts and solving problems.
· Effectively use a consultative selling approach and effectively survey an account using the 7 steps to a sales call
· Your ability to effectively manage your time and prioritize goals and opportunities.
· You are computer proficient working in MS Office Products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and can use advanced computer functions, including navigating the Internet.
Bachelor’s degree or post secondary education preferred

The timing of the interview process will vary and our focus will be on ensuring that the key stakeholders get to know you and that you get to know us. You will be expected to do a face-to-face interview in person or over video call in some cases, at least once, during the hiring process.
Sometimes we do ask candidates for customer facing roles or more junior candidates to complete an automated online video interview. You will self-record answers to our automated questions and this will be reviewed by the Hiring Team.
For Management and Leadership roles we may request an additional assessment that takes a deeper dive into your potential leadership style.
